What is the Author Program?

The Author Program is designed for content creators who want to reach a wider audience on Mewayz. As an Author, your posts can appear in topic feeds, discovery sections, and recommended content, helping you grow your following and increase engagement.

Eligibility Checklist

All items below are required before you can apply for Author status:

• Profile Picture: Upload a clear, professional profile image that represents you or your brand
• Caption/Bio: Complete your profile with a compelling bio that tells readers what you create and what they can expect from your content
• Username: Choose a unique, memorable username (e.g., @yourname) that reflects your brand or identity
• Full Name: Provide your real name (for individuals) or brand representative name (for organizations)
• Profile Description: Write a detailed description that explains your content focus, expertise, or creative niche
• Profile Cover: Upload a header image that visually represents your brand or content style
• Minimum 30 Posts: Publish at least 30 high-quality posts that showcase your consistent activity and content style

Tip: Quality matters more than quantity. Make sure your most recent posts represent your best work and demonstrate your value to the community.

How to Apply

1. Complete Your Profile:
   • Go to your profile page
   • Click "Edit Profile"
   • Fill out all required fields mentioned in the eligibility checklist
   • Ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date
2. Build Your Content Portfolio:
   • Publish at least 30 posts that reflect your unique style and expertise
   • Focus on creating valuable, original content
   • Engage with your audience through comments and interactions
   • Maintain consistency in your posting schedule
3. Submit Your Application:
   • Navigate to Settings → Author Program
   • Review the eligibility checklist to ensure you meet all requirements
   • Click "Apply for Author Status"
   • Fill out the application form with any additional information requested
   • Submit your application
4. Review Process:
   • Our team will review your profile for completeness and community fit
   • We'll evaluate your content quality, engagement, and adherence to community guidelines
   • Review typically takes 7-14 business days
5. Receive Decision:
   • You'll receive a notification with the decision
   • If approved, your Author badge will appear on your profile
   • Your future posts will become eligible for feed distribution and discovery

What Changes After Approval?

Once you become an Author, you'll receive:

• Author Badge: Your profile will display an Author badge, indicating your verified creator status
• Feed Distribution: Your future posts can appear in topic feeds, discovery sections, and recommended content (subject to community guidelines and quality standards)
• Enhanced Visibility: Your content has the potential to reach a wider audience beyond your immediate followers
• Creator Tools: Access to advanced creator tools as they become available, including:
  • Content analytics and insights
  • Post scheduling capabilities
  • Draft management
  • Audience growth metrics
• Priority Support: Dedicated support channels for Author-related questions and issues

Note: Until you're approved as an Author, your posts remain visible only on your profile page and to your followers.

Can I apply without 30 posts?

What type of content is preferred?

Will my older posts appear in feeds after approval?

What if my application is declined?

If your application is declined, we'll provide general guidance on areas for improvement. Common reasons for denial include:

• Incomplete profile information
• Insufficient content quality or quantity
• Recent policy violations
• Low engagement or activity levels

You can re-apply after 30 days. Use this time to address the feedback and improve your profile and content.

How long does the review process take?

Review typically takes 7-14 business days. During peak periods, it may take slightly longer. You'll receive a notification once a decision has been made.

Can I lose my Author status?

Yes. Author status can be revoked if you:

• Violate our Terms of Use or Community Guidelines
• Engage in spam, harassment, or abusive behavior
• Post misleading or harmful content
• Become inactive for an extended period

Do Authors get paid?

The Author Program itself doesn't provide direct payment. However, Authors may have access to monetization features as they become available, such as tips, subscriptions, or other creator economy tools.
