Investment Accounts Terms of Service

These investment account Terms of Service together with the Mewayz Crypto-Assets Terms of Service and any other referenced documents (collectively the "Investment Account Terms") outline how you can use the Mewayz Product that is available through the Mewayz Platform, which allows you to earn interest on the crypto-assets you transfer into that account (the "Investment Account") and form a legal agreement between:

  • 1 You, as the Mewayz client; and
  • 2 Mewayz Global, Corp., a Delaware corporation with its registered office at 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, and registered agent Legalinc Corporate Services Inc ("Mewayz", or "we", "our", or "us").

Important Notice

Please ensure that you have read and understand these Investment Account Terms before creating an Investment Account.

By accepting these Investment Account Terms, you confirm that you have read and understood them. You acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Investment Account Terms. If you do not fully understand these Investment Account Terms, you should not accept them.

2. Setting up Investment Accounts

You can set up an Investment Account using the applicable functionality available on the Mewayz Platform. Mewayz offers two types of Investment Accounts:

Flexible Account

Earn 5% AER with the flexibility to withdraw your USDC anytime with no restrictions. Interest is compounded and paid out weekly.

Fixed Term Account

Earn higher yields (8-12% AER) by locking your USDC for a fixed term (1-24 months). Interest is compounded and paid out weekly. Withdrawals are only available after the term ends. At maturity, your account automatically converts to Flexible, restoring full access to your funds.

When setting up an Investment Account, you must select the type of Investment Account you wish to open and the type of crypto-assets. You are permitted to hold multiple Investment Accounts, depending on your preferences and the crypto-assets you wish to manage.

Additionally, you can choose the type of interest for your Investment Account. You also have the flexibility to change the type of Investment Account at any time, allowing you to adapt to your evolving needs and preferences.

Important Notes:

  • Your Investment Account is not a checking, savings, bank, or deposit account.
  • Assets in your Investment Account are not protected by government-backed depositor compensation, insurance, or guarantee schemes.
  • Your crypto-assets are safeguarded with secure systems designed to protect them from misappropriation, damage, or loss.
  • You are solely responsible for any taxes due on interest earned or gains realized from your Investment Account.

3. Funding Your Investment Account

To fund your Investment Account:

  1. Use Stripe to make payments directly from your bank account or credit/debit card
  2. Bank wire transfers are coming soon for direct funding
  3. Crypto funding options will be available in a future update

Note: Currently, funding is only available via Stripe. Additional payment methods including bank wire and cryptocurrency will be added in future updates.

4. Interest in Your Investment Account

Interest details:

  • Interest rates are displayed as Annual Equivalent Rate (AER)
  • Flexible Account: 5% AER, variable rate
  • Fixed Term Accounts: Fixed rates from 8-12% AER depending on term length
  • Interest calculated daily based on minimum daily balance
  • Weekly payouts starting seven days after account creation

Rate Changes:

  • Rate increases: We will notify you as soon as possible
  • Rate decreases: At least 14 days' notice will be provided
  • No interest is paid if your account is suspended

5. Withdrawing Crypto-Assets from Your Investment Account

Flexible Account

Withdraw anytime without restrictions

Fixed Term Account

Withdrawals only available after the selected term ends (1-24 months)

After withdrawal, no interest will be paid on withdrawn crypto-assets. Withdrawn funds are transferred to your Mewayz Account.

6. Closing Your Investment Account

You can close your Investment Account at any time by withdrawing all crypto-assets. We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • Your crypto-assets are suspended or delisted
  • You fail to comply with these Terms
  • Your Mewayz Platform access is terminated

Upon closure, crypto-assets will be held in accordance with our Crypto-Asset Terms.

7. Customer Support and Complaints Handling

We aim to resolve all enquiries within two weeks. Complaints are handled according to our Complaints Handling Policy.

8. Our Responsibility to You

We strive to:

  • Maintain satisfactory standards for Investment Accounts
  • Ensure Internet-dependent elements remain available

However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access due to maintenance or circumstances beyond our control. We are not responsible for unforeseeable losses or damages.

These limitations do not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

9. Amendments to these Investment Account Terms

We may amend these Terms with at least 2 months' notice for significant changes. By continuing to use the service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

Minor changes or those required by law may take effect immediately without prior notice.

10. Miscellaneous

  • Governing Law: Delaware, USA
  • Severability: Invalid provisions will be modified or removed
  • Assignment: You may not transfer rights; we may assign our rights
  • Jurisdiction: Courts of Delaware, USA
